Course description:

The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) believe “It’s not about teaching, it’s about learning.”

This means that the Managing Safely course is so much more interesting than ‘death by PowerPoint’. The course gets candidates fully involved in a fun environment that encourages learning by doing in order to achieve training success in Health & Safety. This methods ensures that successful candidates have the enthusiasm and confidence to put into practice what they have learnt when they are in the workplace. The course is delivered with a business focus that as far as possible is tailored to the specific industries of the candidates.

Managing Safely is a course for managers / supervisors from any sector. It’s designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take in order to handle health & safety in the teams. The course doesn’t produce health & Safety experts, it is designed to give managers the tools to deal with the situations they are likely to face at work. The delegate workbook is designed to be used as a reference point during and following the course.

The course requirement is for 24 hrs face to face / teaching time. This can be delivered in one go over 4 days or one day per week over one month. Should you have other requirements please ask as these may be accommodated.

Assessment:

The IOSH Managing Safely course is assessed through a short multi format assessment paper and a Risk Assessment project (this can be submitted following the course on 4 day courses).

Upon successful completion of the assessment and project the candidate will be awarded with a nationally recognised certificate from IOSH.

Course Availability:

The maximum number of candidates is limited to ten and courses run all year round once full. Discount is available is you provide all the candidates and course dates can be tailored to suit your requirements.
